Domain 2: Competencies

Overview

The primary focus of this domain is on refining instructional strategies to address the distinct needs of students with ASD, ensuring each learner benefits from a meaningful, supportive educational environment. I have selected twelve artifacts that illustrate competencies in this area, showcasing my understanding of vital elements such as career and vocational transitions, the effective use of technology supports, and the assessment of intervention efficacy. These artifacts also reflect my ability to build communication skills, utilize student strengths for self-regulation, promote independent functional life skills with an emphasis on social development, and optimize physical settings to enhance learning outcomes for individuals with ASD. Each artifact underscores my commitment to creating individualized, impactful, and strategically planned learning experiences for students with ASD.
