Interpretation of Results

Once an assessment is done, the trained specialist goes through the results, however, the language that is used at times isn't clear enough for parents to understand. Therefore, a parent or caregiver can defer back to the psychometric conversion table as well as the Bell curve chart to better interpret the scores as well as effectively understand them. For instance, looking at the scores below in the table, the student score 103 in Verbal comprehension, which puts him at 58th percentile rank, meaning that he did as well as or better than 58% of other peers who took the same test. As a result, his verbal comprehension is average compared to his peers. Now, if we look at a bell curve, we can visualize the results and determine that a 103 score falls within the mean.
