This class holds an incredible amount of information that is beneficial to understanding the assessments needed to serve the needs of children with ASD. It explains how data is collected and interpreted while also helped me learn to translate that data into choosing specific Evidence Based Practices while also using the child's interests and strengths. Additionally, the game that we played during this class allowed me to think outside the box and learn more about IEP processes while accurately reading data from different assessments. 

          As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, navigating different assessments and evaluation reports has always been a challenge, but now, I am more prepared to understand not just the data but also all the jargons used to describe the data. It also empowers me to use my child's data to advocate for more Evidence Based Practices that can align more with his needs. I can proudly state that after taking this class, I am more prepared to deal with autism and its challenges in both educational and home settings.
